Recently we learnt about the celebration of Chinese New Year. We explored how the texture of noodles changed from hard to soft after cooking, looked at Chinese writing and created our own using paint and charcoal, read stories, explored artefacts, did lion dancing and watched videos about how families celebrate. We also explored tweezers, tongs and chopsticks, changed our home areas into Chinese restaurants, grew mung beans, drank real tea and even made our own spring rolls using stir fry vegetables and filo pastry.
