St Philip’s Marsh Nursery School October 2026 Newsletter

by | Oct 2, 2026 | News, Newsletters

A new nursery year is underway at St Philip’s Marsh Nursery School, and it has been wonderful to welcome both new and returning children and families. Children have been busy settling into their new routines, building relationships with their key people, making friends and exploring their learning environment.

The induction period has been carefully planned to help children feel safe, secure and confident as they begin their nursery journey. By gradually introducing children to the setting and encouraging family involvement during visits, staff are able to build strong relationships and support each child’s individual transition. These early experiences help children develop a sense of belonging and confidence within their new community.

There are lots of exciting opportunities planned for the months ahead. Children will continue working with Claudia from The Children’s Kitchen, exploring healthy food through cooking and growing activities, while weekly yoga sessions with Active Kids will support children’s physical development, body awareness and wellbeing. The nursery is also continuing its involvement with the Big Brush Club, helping children learn good oral health habits through daily supervised toothbrushing.

Families are encouraged to make use of the school library, contribute family photographs to classroom displays and support healthy snack donations where possible. These small contributions help create a welcoming environment where children can learn, play and thrive together.

As we begin another exciting year of learning and discovery, we would like to thank families for their support and partnership. We look forward to sharing more of the children’s experiences and achievements throughout the year.
