Diesel power station to be built near Nursery

Councillor Margaret Hickman has brought to our attention a proposed development of a diesel power station near our school.

A London based company called Plutus Energy has submitted planning application. They intend to create a ‘Flexible Generation Facility’ in the St Philip’s area which will host 48 diesel generators and large storage tanks which will contain 22,000 litres of diesel.

Parents are actively encouraged to voice their concerns via RADE Bristol (http://radebristol.com/).  RADE (Residents Against Dirty Energy) Bristol is a central rallying point for residents, action groups and organisations concerned about the placement of Short Term Operating Reserve ‘STOR’ sites in residential areas and communities without proper regard to the health of Bristol residents and the environment.
