Forest School 2015 success

by | Jun 26, 2015 | News

The School has reported very successful visits to Forest School at Arnos Vale and expressed their delight at the opportunity to work with parents and children for the day in a wonderful outdoor learning environment. Luckily the weather stayed dry for us on all four class visits.  While we were there we learnt about similarities and differences in relation to places, objects, materials and living things and we made observations of animals and plants. Activities included gathering leaves and creating crowns, digging up soil and making mud, painting mud pictures, collecting sticks and making dens, hunting for mini beasts and making mini dens. We would like to say a huge thank you to the parents/carers who volunteered on the days. We would be very grateful for donations (£5 per child) for the experience as this pays for Janine, the Learning Co-ordinator at Arnos Vale to put on the Forest School experience for us. We are currently having to pay her fees out of our depleted School funds. Thank you very much to all the parents who have made a donation so far.  (Check out our galleries of photos of each class – Class 1, Class 2, Class 3, Class 4.)
