To fit in with our themes of ‘changes’ and ‘patterns’, the children learnt about the life cycle of the butterfly. The children observed them grow from caterpillars and, in our special butterfly nets, we saw them change into pupa. We waited patiently until they were ready to emerge as beautiful butterflies.
