We are delighted to announce that our beautiful garden was awarded the Bristol in Bloom Learning Through Gardening 2019 Silver Gilt Award ‘… encouraging children’s awareness of their natural surroundings’. As well as a certificate we were presented with £40 voucher to spend at a garden centre. Thank you to PROPS Bristol who have worked so hard in our garden over the last few months. The planters which they made have been planted with sunflowers by the children The children have also planted, harvested and tasted potatoes, peas, broad beans, strawberries, raspberries, lettuce, carrots and radishes. As a result of the children being so interested in digging and planting we created a new digging area and one wooden house was turned into our potting shed. The children also made a scarecrow to keep the birds away from our plants.
