African Caribbean Day a roaring success

Tribal Vibes

The sun shone magnificently for our annual African Caribbean Day.  The children enjoyed a day of workshops including making necklaces, shakers, flags, clay models, palm trees and collages, listening to music and stories from Africa and the Caribbean and having their faces painted. ‘Tribal Vibes’ held music workshops during the day where we learnt to play drums and danced.  The afternoon saw yet more dancing when ‘Tribal Vibes’ entertained us in the garden and we sampled exotic refreshments.

A huge thank you goes to Nanny Millie for helping the children make their crowns (over 170 of them!) and supplying us with delicious homemade fruit punch.  Thank you also to all the parents/carers, relatives, volunteers, staff, children and ‘Tribal Vibes’ who helped to make it such a great success.
