Update from Headteacher

Dear Parent/carers

I hope you are all well and coping in this very difficult situation.

The school continues to remain open for the children of key workers and vulnerable children.

At the moment we have roughly 50% of children attending.

Due staff shortages because of illness, staff shielding, staff self-isolating and safety concerns around large numbers, we are unfortunately still unable to fully open for all children. This is the case with all of the nursery schools in Bristol, as well as all primary and secondary schools.

I fully understand how difficult this is for many of you. I really appreciate the many messages of support and understanding we have been sent. I am also aware that many of you have chosen to keep your children at home for the time being for safety reasons and in line with government guidance on reducing social interactions.

Please get in touch with the school if you feel your child really needs to be in nursery at this time and we will endeavour to do our best to provide a place.

In the meantime, your child’s key person will be in regular contact and there are lots of tips for activities and things to do at home with your child on our school Facebook page, website and videos on our YouTube channel.

We will be fully open for all children as soon as we possibly can be.

Once again thank you for all your patience and understanding. We are really missing you and your children and can’t wait to have you all back.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you are having difficulties or are struggling in any way and we will do all we can to help.

With best wishes

Yours faithfully
